J-iN Application

Hello, I am a Junior VFX and 3D artist currently working on film and TV. I finished 2D and 3D animation on University as well as a VFX course.


I am applying for animation and if possible to concept art. you can check my work for 3d on deviantart and if you want to see animation I would like you to give me something to animate (related from the project) and I can submit it for your appreciation

I enjoyed the movie as well.

However, that being said, I would like to see more of what you can do that's actually inline with what we're planning here.

some 2-D humans or along those lines

I was thinking maybe J-in could work on bg art like the school / auditoruims / bandstands / parks / clubs / bars / cafes etc and so on, but like you said MrBP, stuff with people would be nice too o3o

And yes, I agree. Though for some reason, the video parts of the game won't leave my mind. Having a dedicated BG artist would be great.

Honestly, Your stuff if really good. I'm just not entirely sure what we'd use your work for. It's really not the style we plan to use.

If we accept you, your art style seems like something that would be used primarily for backgrounds. Would it be possible for us to see something more along those lines?

Also, if you're capable of drawing in the more traditional 2D Japanese animation style, suitable for a VN, that's very much sought after as well.

What i can do is, as fast as I get home i can show you stuff i been practicing in a sketchbook i bought recently. I used to draw in a Oriental Stlye on highschool but I quit because of my tutors still I practice (you will see).

My main reason I want to join is to practice animation and body proportions, since i Did 2D animation at school and I like it lots. And i want to be a concept artist and Character Modeler.

Also I wouldnt mind doing 3D backgrounds if you let me do animation as a primarly task.

I do like your samples, even if they do seem rushed.

What sort of animation would you be interested in doing for the project? 2D or 3D?

2D animation is something that we could really use.

3D animation, on the other hand, isn't something that I think we have a lot of use for.

Id love to do 2d animation for the sake of practicing.

That would be great. Do you have any examples of any 2D animation we could see?

Also, If you get accepted, would you be fine with doing some concept art, sprites, or any other general artwork that we might need? You're main job would still be animation, but you would also do some other stuff on the side.

I would be glad to help with any type of artwork.

And as I mentioned before, if you could give me a scene that requires animation ( a fragment of the script would do) I gladly animate that part for you.

We not at the point in production where we can hand out anything yet. Right now we're currently selecting characters from a pool of 15, so we don't have any script we can use for this purpose.

You could just animate a simple scene of your choosing. Perhaps a girl walking or something simple like that. It doesn't particularly matter what it is.

Just to let's everyone else know, I've been in touch with J-iN and he is still interested in contributing.

He is currently working on an other film though, and has not had time to complete the test animation he was working on.
